A clean room is a specially designed room in which micro-particles, harmful air, bacteria and other pollutants are removed from the air within a certain space, and the temperature, cleanliness, indoor pressure, airflow speed and airflow distribution, noise and vibration, lighting and static electricity are controlled within a certain demand range.

Definition And Classification Of Cleanrooms

Clean working principle

Air flow primary purification humidification section heating section table cooling section  medium purification fan air supply duct high efficiency purification air outlet blowing into the room take away dust , bacteria and other particles  Return air shutters primary purification repeat the above process, you can achieve the purpose of purification.

According to the use of classification

1、Industrial clean room

To control inanimate particles as the object. Mainly control the air dust particles to work object pollution, generally maintain a positive pressure state. It is suitable for the precision machinery industry, electronic industry (semiconductor, integrated circuits, etc.) aerospace industry, high purity chemical industry, atomic energy industry, optical and magnetic products industry (CD, film, tape production) LCD (liquid crystal glass), computer hard disk, computer magnetic head production and other industries.

2、Bio-clean room

To control the contamination of living particles (bacteria) and inanimate particles (dust) on the work object. It can also be divided into

A. General biological clean room, mainly to control the contamination of microbial (bacteria) objects. At the same time, the internal materials must be able to withstand the erosion of various sterilising agents and the internal pressure is generally maintained at a positive level. In essence , its internal materials should be able to withstand various sterilisation processes in an industrial clean room.

B. Biologically safe clean room: the main control of the contamination of the outside world and people by living particles of the work object. The interior should be kept at a negative pressure in the atmosphere.

According to the airflow classification

1、One-way flow clean room

One-way flow clean room is also called laminar flow clean room is also divided into vertical flow clean room and horizontal flow clean room. Its airflow is from the indoor air supply side a parallel, straight, smooth flow to the corresponding return side. It is the indoor source of pollutants in the indoor diffusion before the clean air is pressed out of the room, the clean air is sent to the source of pollution to play a role in isolation.

Features: one-way parallel flow lines, if the time are parallel to each other, the direction of a single, and clean airflow is not one or a few, but full of the whole room section, so this clean room is not by clean airflow on the room dirty air mixing dilution effect, but by clean airflow to launch the role of the room dirty air along the entire section to the outdoors, to achieve the purpose of purifying indoor air.

2、Confusion clean room

The principle of non-unidirectional flow clean room is to rely on clean airflow to diffuse, mix and continuously dilute the indoor air, and gradually discharge the indoor pollution to achieve balance. In short, the principle of a non-unidirectional flow cleanroom flow is dilution.

Features: A continuously flowing clean room relies on multiple air changes to achieve cleanliness and cleanliness levels. The number of air changes determines the cleanliness level in the definition (the higher the number of air changes, the higher the cleanliness level)

3、Radiation clean room

In a radial flow clean room, the air supply and return vents are installed on the opposite side and arranged diagonally. The air supply diffuser plate is generally made into a 1/4 arc, through which the air supply sends out a radial clean air flow to the lower return air outlet, pushing the pollutants "diagonally" towards the return air outlet area and finally discharging the room.

Features: the same cleanliness requirements, the required air supply volume is very small, energy-saving effect is very significant, and spoke flow clean room can achieve 1000 level and below cleanliness. But the purification effect is better than the non-unidirectional flow clean room.

4、Mixed flow clean room

The general form of mixed flow clean room for the room the whole clean room for non-unidirectional flow clean room, but the need for air cleanliness strictly above the region using one-way flow flow type of clean measures, so that the region to meet the requirements of the one-way flow flow type clean area, in order to prevent the relatively poor surrounding air environment affecting the local high cleanliness.

Features: The vertical unidirectional flow area is compressed to a minimum, and a large non-unidirectional flow area is used instead of a large unidirectional flow area to reduce initial investment and operating costs.
